Miu Sakamoto

Miu Sakamoto

Miu Sakamoto (坂本美雨), born May 1, 1980, is a Japanese pop singer. She is the daughter of Japanese musicians Ryuichi Sakamoto and Akiko Yano.

She has a clear soprano voice (similar to that of Miki Nakatani, who would reuse "Awakening" on her 1999 album Shiseikatsu) which has been mixed up-front, thus making a strong impression. She has collaborated with many artists - most recently with The Shanghai Restoration Project, who produced her 2010 album PHANTOM girl.
